Alcatel-Lucent has reinforced its collaboration with the group Deutsche Telekom (DTAG) with the company/signature of a new series of contracts of optical transport with four of its branchs located in Austria, Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia. When facilitating a route of transparent transformation of the network, the solution of optical transport of Alcatel-Lucent will allow these branchs to respond to the requirements of a greater bandwidth to give of an efficient way services of broadband data of fixed and movable networks, including services of movable Internet, video and multimedia, access to Internet of high speed and services “Triple Play”.

The four contracts have been signed with the following operators: T-Mobile Austria - to update the network of existing transport that connects Vienna, Linz, Salzburg, Innsbruck, Klagenfurt and Graz, and to support to services with a 10 bandwidth of GE and superior in each “colored” optical connection. Christian Laqué, vice-president of network of T-Mobile Austria has commented: “The outpost optical technology of Alcatel-Lucent will allow us to realise a gradual transformation of our network of existing transport to support the increasing demand of broadband movable services and to establish the base to respond in the future to the requirements of NGMN capacity”. T-Mobile Czech Republic - to increase to the capacity of the aggregation network and transport and to improve the efficiency of the delivery of services. “With its innovating strategy of Zero Touch Photonics, Alcatel-Lucent responds to our requirements to have a new approach, that multiplies the capacity of the network under demand and an economic form”, there is addition Ondrej Cibula, vice-president of main network of T-Mobile Czech Republic. “This solution facilitates an important improvement of the benefits of the network and the provision of bandwidth and creates surroundings with guarantee of future for the introduction of innovating movable services”. Slovak Telekom - to modernize the existing main network and to reinforce the operative efficiency and the delivery of services, by means of an automated system of provision. Ralf Mittag, director of production of platforms and technology of Slovak Telekom have explained: “Technology DWDM allows us to offer to our clients bandwidth under demand of a flexible form and with an important economic saving. With the strategy Zero Touch Photonics de Alcatel-Lucent we can directly update the capacity of the network from the Operations center of Network, without needing realising no physical card substitution in the optical nodes”. PTC Poland - to continue its process of transformation of network and to lean in a greater capacity of the network of aggregation and transport for movable applications of great bandwidth in surroundings of network of providing manifolds. “The optical solution of Alcatel-Lucent offers a route to us of transparent migration towards a network Ethernet of aggregation and transport, and at the same time it allows us to continue capitalizing the cost and the efficiency of IP/Ethernet as the demand of a greater bandwidth is increased”, it has pointed Tomasz Gerszberg, director of the transmission department and main network of PTC Poland. “With this unfolding, we will be preparations for the new generation of broadband movable services with a minimum cost by transported bit.” Alcatel-Lucent will provide to the four branchs of Deutsche Telekom its system 1626 Light Manager (LM). This platform responds to the requirements of the operators to have a great capacity of extension of bandwidth, and facilitates an architecture of multiplexer of reconfigurable and totally sintonizable optical insertion-extraction that leans in the strategy unique Zero Touch Photonics de Alcatel-Lucent, to allow the operators to design, to plan and to operate its networks with great agility. This means that the operators can realise by means of remote connections the extreme provision to end of the services of wavelengths in minutes. Of this form, they can provide to its clients an optimal bandwidth, practically under demand.
