• High-speed data transmission with Ethernet AWG24

• Improved IP68 sealing, up to 20 m for 24 h
• Hexagonal housing
• Anthracite coating with grounding on the panel

The new 08-gauge MiniMax connector for rugged Ethernet connectivity solutions features an eight-pin AWG24 contact block configuration in a receptacle only 12 mm in diameter, enabling high-speed Ethernet data transmission over longer distances. The new configuration also boasts improved IP68 sealing.

The stringent IP68 sealing level guarantees a depth of 20 meters for 24 hours. This is an exceptional IP rating for such a small connector, paving the way for the miniaturization of underwater devices. Fischer MiniMax Series connectors are also available in a hexagonal shape, facilitating integration into small enclosures and making them more robust. Since customers don't require a flat panel cutout, they can include a hexagonal recess on the back of the panel for the receptacle to fit into. Furthermore, the new standard coating for Fischer MiniMax Series connectors now includes an anthracite surface treatment. This coating is similar to that used on Fischer UltiMate™ Series connectors and extends to the panel's grounding point.Fischer-MiniMaxTM-Series IP68-w

Wim Vanheertum, Director of Product Management at Fischer Connectors, explains: “The MiniMax connector aims to boost the performance of miniature rugged devices by managing more mixed signal and power connections in a unique combination. Our highly engineered miniature signal and power connectivity solution is ideal for applications where space, weight, and power are critical, as it enhances portability and resists water, corrosion, vibration, shock, and extreme temperatures. It is designed for manufacturers who need robust, sealed, and shielded connectors that are lightweight and compact while offering optimal usability and performance. MiniMax is also a perfect solution for the challenges presented by wearable and mobile devices, providing greater functionality in smaller devices and thus reducing the total cost of ownership.”

The Fischer Rugged Flash Drive offers improved performance thanks to its new standard USB 3.0 MiniMax connector interface. With nine pins in optimized positions, it delivers high-speed data transmission and enhanced storage of mobile data in a virtually indestructible casing. The Fischer Rugged Flash Drive
is designed to fit the USB 3.0 MiniMax connector (size 08, shown on the left in the photo) with nine pins.
