Cinch's 1.5 mm SHS system is used as the base interconnect technology for ModICE connector boxes. The SHS series devices, a complete line of rugged, sealed I/O connectors, are designed for use in electronic control modules operating in harsh environments, such as those found in commercial and off-road vehicles and industrial equipment. Cinch ModICE
connector boxes are available in three sizes (ME, SE, LE) and four different header configurations: 18, 30, 48, and 60 I/O. Resistant to most industrial fluids, the products are sealed to IP67 and IP69K ratings and remain sealed even when harness connectors are not mated. Other technical details include a current capacity of 10 Amps at 85°C, a contact resistance of <10 mΩ, an insulation resistance of >1000 MΩ, and an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. ME headers with integrated RF ports, headers with integrated ferrite filtering, and empty headers are available. Housings with integrated heat sinks and housings with ventilation (vents) are also available.
