Using a quadrature error correction (QEC) algorithm can be a differentiating factor in extending Nyquist bandwidth in a software-defined MxFE® system. Interleaving ADC cores is one option for achieving this capability, but it requires a front-end analog bandwidth of 2 GHz to 18 GHz. Time interleaving is a popular method for doubling the sampling rate. However, there can be trade-offs with the challenge of processing large rates of raw data and the ability to digitally filter within the ADC.

Until recently, neutrinos were believed to be massless, but the current theory is that they do have mass, albeit a very small one, and that they exist in three different "flavors" that can alternate. Viavi Solutions Inc. (VIAVI) today launched the industry’s first Reduced Capacity Device (RedCap) emulation for 5G network testing, enabling true performance validation for Internet of Things (IoT) and private networks based on a new class of simpler, lower-cost devices, including wearables, industrial wireless sensors, and video surveillance. This solution is based on the TM500 network test platform, used by most network equipment manufacturers for base station performance testing.
This application note describes how sweep polarization-dependent loss (PDL) measurements can be performed using a CTP10 test platform or a CT440-PDL component tester. In the configuration shown in the following figure, the CTP10's IL PDL OPM2 module enables both the generation of the 4 or 6 polarization states (SOPs) required for Mueller analysis in PDL determination and the measurement of the insertion loss (IL) of the device under test (DUT).
