Thanks to this cooperation, SignalShark, favored by its open platform design, gains access to all the "state-of-the-art" signal analysis tools.
The SignalShark can perform fully automatic, ITU-compliant measurements of radio signals up to 8 GHz. Furthermore, thanks to its 40 MHz real-time bandwidth, it can continuously record broadband signals from a full range of services. Depending on the application, these signals can be sent as VITA49-compatible IQ-Streams, either from a stationary or mobile location, to an external PC or internally, via localhost, to the receiver's PROCITEC application. The go2MONITOR software is installed on both the external computer and the SignalShark. In both cases, the signals can be classified, demodulated, decoded, and recorded for subsequent analysis in real time, reliably and securely.
Detection and decoding of broadband radio signals
In practice, the signals of all services within a frequency band are continuously monitored in broadband and fully recorded. Depending on the task, in addition to mobile telephony, other services such as TETRA, TETRAPOL, or APCO25 are also processed. Simultaneously, using parameters such as modem, bandwidth, and symbol rate, the analysis software automatically determines the most detailed information and displays it clearly on the SignalShark screen or a corresponding external PC. The necessary decoders can be integrated using various decoder packages with their corresponding licenses, allowing the user to ultimately decode any signal seamlessly.
By building mobile, flexible, and continuous monitoring units, users benefit from the specific advantages of each series in the SignalShark family. All three units—the handheld unit, the rack-mounted remote unit, and the outdoor unit—share the same core design and HF characteristics: high sensitivity, real-time bandwidth, performance, and dynamics. They deliver reliable and stable results—the key word being "scalability"—at all times and without limitations for mobile field and laboratory applications, as well as for long-term outdoor applications under extreme environmental conditions.
