ANRITSU CORPORATION has developed and launched new software options for its MT8000A radio communication test station, designed to evaluate the radio frequency (RF) performance of 5G devices, such as smartphones.

Anritsu Corporation has released the new NR Licensed 6GHz Band Measurement software MX800010A-014 for its MT8000A radio communications test station. The system now supports RF testing*1 in the 6 GHz band (5.925 GHz to 7.125 GHz) for 5G FR1*2 devices.

The update was developed in response to the December 2023 expansion of the upper frequency range for licensed bands operating in 5G Frequency Range 1 (FR1). While previously the licensed bands were below 6 GHz, 3GPP Release 17 expanded them to 7.125 GHz to accommodate the increasing volume of mobile, Wi-Fi, and other wireless traffic operating across these bands.
