By simplifying calibration and critical design tasks associated with creating and analyzing 5G signals, the software allows R&D engineers to spend more time being the first to bring their own designs to market.
Calibration is essential for accurate 5G signal measurements. However, calibrating broadband channels to RF, microwave, and millimeter-wave frequencies is a complex task. Keysight's new Signal Optimizer software overcomes this challenge by simplifying fully guided system calibrations more than ever before. The software also incorporates task-based instructions that streamline the optimization and measurement of complex systems, enabling engineers to more confidently validate their designs for 5G technology.
“R&D engineers at major mobile infrastructure and service providers design and evaluate 5G candidate technologies using a complex array of tools,” says Mark Pierpont, Vice President of Keysight’s Internet Infrastructure Solutions Group. “Our new Signal Optimizer software solves this problem by combining 5G measurement technology with flexible broadband system calibrations in a single software solution. The result is a powerful, 5G-centric solution to accelerate the deployment of fifth-generation mobile services.”
Keysight's Signal Optimizer software can generate and analyze various 5G candidate technologies, such as FBMC and F-OFDM. An enhanced LTE protocol for 5G is also under development, along with new multiple access points on existing LTE signals. Future innovations will simply be licensed and incorporated into the Signal Optimizer software as needed.
