Coherent, Inc. has opened a fiber laser center of excellence in Tampere, Finland. Fiber lasers have been manufactured there since 2003. Now, to further streamline the production flow, Coherent will combine the assembly and testing of standalone fiber laser sources at the same site with the manufacturing of fiber laser components, laser motors, and combiners.
