“Thanks to its ability to efficiently manage dynamic resource allocation, VideoIPath enables seamless operation between on-premises and cloud devices, integrating solutions from manufacturers such as Grass Valley, Techex, Kiloview, TAG, and Telestream. This approach optimizes bandwidth and cloud connectivity, enabling more agile, flexible, and scalable production,” says Miguel Gallardo, Head of Technology at Unitecnic Madrid.
VideoIPath can natively orchestrate advanced cloud workflows, and thanks to the latest software versions, the new resource routing concept greatly automates and simplifies cloud connectivity, allowing operators to route signals to cloud resources as if they were local. The system automatically assigns the necessary procedures for routing and converting multi-hop signals as needed, as demonstrated by SRT connections between Kiloview and Techex devices during the event in Madrid.
Furthermore, the new dynamic resource orchestration functionality allows cloud or on-premises software media to be turned on and off as needed for these workflows, which has been demonstrated with the integration of Techex Edge and is also possible with the Sony M2L-X mixer.
Finally, VideoIPath now has native support for SRT streams and connection modes as demonstrated by the TAG multi-display integration, in addition to NDI source detection and NDI signal routing between cloud resources.
This functionality complements the existing compatibility with the management of compressed transport connections in JPEG XS and HEVC for land-to-cloud transmission provided by Nevion Virtuoso.
Oscar García, Senior Solution Architect, Nevion adds: “One of the most interesting aspects of the lab is that attendees were able to see a live demo with most of the systems controllable via the web and discover an expanded workflow integrating software on generic ground servers and software in the Amazon Web Services cloud with the latest features that Nevion VideoIPath offers for orchestration and monitoring.”
“We are very pleased with the reception of the lab, and both customers and the other manufacturers participating in the lab welcome the initiative as it represents a very valuable tool when making decisions and exploring use cases based on IP technology ,” says Marta Bragado, Account Manager Sales South, Sony Europe.
