The president of Eurecat, Daniel Altimiras, and the general secretary of Innovation of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, Teresa Riesgo, opened the presentation, in which the general director of Eurecat, Xavier López, presented the strategic vision of Eurecat Madrid.
The Secretary General for Innovation of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities stated, “I am very excited to celebrate today a momentous milestone for innovation and technological development in Spain: the opening of Eurecat’s new headquarters in Madrid, which represents not only the geographical expansion of one of the most important technology centers in southern Europe, but also Eurecat’s firm commitment to business competitiveness, social welfare and equality through R&D&I, in strategic areas of knowledge such as industry, digitalization, health and sustainability.”
The opening of Eurecat Madrid coincides with Eurecat's first decade, a period in which it "has established itself as a benchmark for business innovation and one of the most important applied research and technology transfer organizations in Southern Europe ," highlighted Daniel Altimiras.
"Today, for many companies in Spain, thinking about technological innovation increasingly means thinking about Eurecat as a key partner for successfully carrying out high-value strategic technological innovation projects," explained the president of Eurecat.
In this regard, “having a headquarters in Madrid and continuing to focus on proximity and territorial expansion reinforces our commitment to interregional collaboration and will allow us to continue bringing advanced technological capabilities to meet the specific challenges of companies,” argued Daniel Altimiras.
With this objective, “starting today, from Eurecat Madrid, we will contribute to building a more competitive, resilient, and equitable future, fostering impactful technological development as a driver of competitiveness, sustainability, and social well-being,” emphasized the president of Eurecat.
Eurecat, a benchmark for technological innovation for businesses.
In his address, the CEO of Eurecat highlighted the company's strategic priorities: “focusing on accelerating innovation in companies and organizations and covering the entire value chain from idea to market; multi-technology and multi-sector convergence; supporting companies in their industrial technology scaling processes and responding to the needs of the socio-economic fabric; and Eurecat's investment in the key factor in all these processes: talent. The effective implementation of all of the above also requires local presence and collaborative work with other stakeholders in the ecosystem.”
In this context, he said, Eurecat Madrid seeks to establish “a strategic hub to transform the future and be closer to companies to innovate with impact,” following “a decade of sustained growth, with critical mass, advanced infrastructure, and recognition as a reliable partner in technological innovation.”
During his presentation, the CEO of Eurecat detailed some figures on the company's trajectory, which closed 2024 with €69 million in revenue and a team of 805 people from 36 nationalities, with a multiplier economic impact of 9.37. The company also boasts more than 230 patents and 10 spin-offs, generating a combined turnover of €14.6 million.

Furthermore, Eurecat Madrid reinforces Eurecat's mission "to be a catalyst for industrial and social transformation," as evidenced by "the more than 3,200 companies and administrations that have trusted us when it comes to innovation ," noted the CEO of Eurecat.
