ENNOVI has introduced ENNOVI-Net, a customizable automotive Ethernet connector solution compatible with 10 Gbps operation. ENNOVI-Net connector designs feature a standardized USCAR interface. However, what sets them apart from existing products using this interface is that ENNOVI-Net uses push-in pins instead of through-board soldered pins. This patent-pending innovation completely eliminates the need for soldering.

By removing solder, there are no issues caused by variations in the amount of solder paste applied (and the associated capacitance). Furthermore, the shorter length and lower capacitance of push-in pins, compared to through-board soldered pins, reduce resonance. For both reasons, greater signal integrity is achieved.
