Molex Brad passive signal MPIS boxes are offered as standard with pre-connected 5, 10, and 15-meter cables or, alternatively, with a pluggable M16 or M23 home connection port. M8 Brad® Nano-Change™ interfaces are available in 4, 6, 8, or 10-port versions, and M12 Brad® Micro-Change™ interfaces in 4 or 8-port versions. Threaded connectors are already available, and push-to-lock connectors will be available soon. Dual-connect M12 passive signal MPIS boxes offer additional space savings by allowing two sensors to be connected per port via a Y-splitter. Therefore, 4-port M12 dual-connect boxes can accommodate eight sensors without increasing the overall size of the housing.
Specified for a wide operating temperature range, from -25°C to 85°C, the compact MPIS enclosures can be mounted from the top (M8 or M12) or the side (M8). LEDs allow for easy visual status checks for maintenance purposes. MPIS enclosures can handle voltages up to 30 VDC, and even up to 120 VDC in versions without LEDs. The WSOR (Weld-Slag & Oil-Resistant) cables meet UL 758/1581 and VDE 472-803/B specifications for harsh environments.
