It is the first in a new family based on advanced, patented, programmable Quiet-WIRE® technology for electromagnetic compatibility, offering reduced line emissions and superior receiver immunity. System reliability is further enhanced by Microchip's proven LinkMD+® advanced cable diagnostics, along with an embedded signal quality indicator for dynamic monitoring of link error margins.

For energy-efficient applications, Microchip's integrated EtherGREEN™ technology exclusively incorporates an Ultra Deep Sleep mode with signal-sensing wake-up that reduces standby power consumption to below one microampere.

Thanks to its fast startup time and link latency of less than 20 ms, the KSZ8061 is ideal for applications where startup time is critical, such as automotive rearview cameras. The KSZ8061 family features an extended operating temperature range of -40 to +105°C for applications in harsh environments, such as industrial sensor networks, robotics, building automation, and aviation. This family of Ethernet physical layer transceivers supports interfaces for MII and RMII processors to facilitate integration with a wide range of processors, microcontrollers, and systems-on-a-chip (SoCs).

Microchip also announces a new evaluation board that allows you to test the functionality and performance of the KSZ8061: the KSZ8061MNX evaluation board (KSZ8061MNX-EVAL) is now available and is priced at $115.00.

The KSZ8061 is now available for sampling and volume production. Compact package options include 32-pin, 5x5 mm QFN or 48-pin, 6x6 mm QFN.
