The opening of these new centers represents a commitment by the technology group to the Spanish market, as well as the recognition of local resources as a spearhead in its technological expansion in Southern Europe, as shown by recent initiatives worldwide such as the opening of a Cybersecurity center in Italy.
In Asturias, specifically in Gijón, ZTE has announced the opening of the new technology competence center for its Helpdesk, Dispatching and Monitoring services for telecommunications networks of its current clients, as well as for future 5G technologies, with the initial incorporation of 40 new professionals, who will make use of the best practices in innovative tools and processes in this field.
ZTE's initial workforce consists of former Telecable de Asturias employees, who have been hired by the Chinese technology group due to their professional experience and technical expertise in the telecommunications sector. The multinational anticipates that the initial workforce will soon expand to adequately serve the Spanish market, as well as various other European countries.
Along with Asturias, Galicia has also been chosen by the multinational to establish an operations center with advanced experts, reinforcing the activity already underway in Bilbao and Madrid. This is the first step towards the center's future growth in the area of the next-generation 5G networks that ZTE is deploying worldwide.
