This new cybersecurity lab is an important step by ZTE to promote transparency and build trust. Through its "Security in DNA" program, ZTE is committed to providing customers with end-to-end security products and services by integrating security controls throughout the product lifecycle.

The cybersecurity lab aims to provide global clients and regulators with a range of security audit and assessment services, such as source code reviews of ZTE products (including 4G and 5G), security design audits, procedural document reviews, and black-box and penetration testing. Furthermore, the ZTE cybersecurity lab seeks to become a collaborative research platform that enables the ICT industry to conduct cybersecurity research and exploration.

“Our first cybersecurity lab in Europe is an open and collaborative platform for the industry,” explained ZTE’s Chief Security Officer, Zhong Hong, during his opening remarks. “ZTE plans to gradually achieve key cybersecurity objectives: complying with legal requirements, industry standards, and certification schemes; engaging in dialogue to enhance transparency and establish cooperation with customers and regulatory agencies; and maintaining an open cooperation mechanism to standardize cybersecurity.”.
