Professionals such as network design engineers, control engineers, machine makers, plant engineers, and IT specialists will benefit from learning how to reduce installation costs and time while implementing highly reliable and resilient networks.
The design seminar features seven thematic areas, or "tracks." The tracks are: basic Ethernet networks, control systems and industrial Ethernet networks, network redundancy, Ethernet concepts and network management, network security, industrial wireless, and industrial Ethernet for cabling and connectivity applications.
The sessions are 100% industry-focused and take into account the specific requirements of manufacturing networks used for control, security, and data acquisition. Capabilities such as very high availability, rapid recovery, and the ability to operate in harsh environments are essential for industrial networks. They also need to be scalable and upgradeable because the lifespan of industrial equipment is 15-20 years or more. Finally, the networks need to be simple to implement and easy to maintain for engineering, operations, and maintenance personnel, who have a different skill set than IT networking professionals.
Belden experts from around the world, including Hirschmann, Lumberg Automation, Tofino Security, and Belden, will lead the sessions and will be available to answer questions, give advice, and help companies customize their approach—from design to implementation.
