The Competence Center will offer six free, in-person sessions providing details on the technological vision of PROFIBUS and PROFINET. The aim is to delve into the application areas of these communication standards, the principles for network planning and installation, and their main differences. These sessions will take place on February 27, March 31, May 27, September 30, November 12, and December 9, 2014.
Aimed at software and hardware engineers, technology consultants, installers, systems integrators, project managers or teachers, among other profiles, the rest of the courses offered by the Competence Center include topics such as introduction to PROFIBUS and PROFINET technologies, Troubleshooting to analyze, locate and solve problems in communication networks, or specific training to obtain the official title of PROFIBUS Certified Installer and PROFIBUS Certified Engineer through an exam certified by PROFIBUS International (PI).
PROFIBUS and PROFINET technologies are the most widely used communication networks in industry worldwide for automating manufacturing processes and exchanging data. It is estimated that 28% of all plants worldwide use this technology, representing a market of $500 billion.
