The seminar, ideal for all technical profiles (technical directors, IT managers, engineers, CAE program users, designers, researchers), will illustrate the technical and commercial advantages that can be obtained through 3D numerical simulation for the design and optimization of products in major industrial sectors and those subject to thermal phenomena.

During the first part of the seminar, the methodologies and models for realistically simulating different physical phenomena related to heat transfer in fluids and/or solids will be explained, including those involving natural and forced convection, conduction, and radiation. Specific case studies and examples from companies will then be presented, such as heat exchangers, air conditioning systems, electronic component cooling, and systems with phase changes or chemical reactions.

After a refresher course organized by CD-adapco, the seminar will continue with live demonstrations of how to perform the complete workflow using STAR-CCM+, from CAD geometry to obtaining qualitative (3D images) and quantitative (numbers, tables, reports) results.
The day will conclude with a discussion of CD-adapco's software features for parallel calculations on an arbitrary number of processors and for cloud computing.

The seminar is free, but places are limited.
