The 53200 series is built with the latest computer I/O standards for ease of connectivity and data collection. The combination of high-speed measurement and built-in analytics provides new functionality previously unavailable in basic frequency counters/timers.
The Agilent 53200 offers a baseband bandwidth of 350 MHz with expansion options up to 15 GHz. Measurement readout speed has been increased by more than two orders of magnitude compared to the previous generation. The 53200 offers a resolution of up to 12 digits/s of continuous gapless free frequency counting and a 20 ps single-shot time at resolution interval, giving it the highest capability in its class.
LXI/Ethernet and USB 2.0 are standard features, making it quick and easy to connect to a PC test instrument system or network. The 53200 includes 1MB of internal read memory and supports USB flash drives, making data storage and retrieval from the counter fast and easy.
A 4.3-inch graphic display provides excellent visibility for quick triggering and equipment setup. The 53200 Series is built for post-measurement analysis, internal readout memory, and fast data transfer speeds, extending the capabilities of the 53200 Series beyond typical general-purpose frequency counters. Advanced mathematical and statistical information, including basic modulation domain analysis (MDA), simple jitter analysis, Allan deviation, and histograms, allows design and manufacturing engineers to quickly view their measurement history and assess signal quality and performance.
Among other features, the Agilent 53200 offers:

The optional battery for the 53200 supports remote operation and ensures accurate measurements by keeping the time base active at all times. The 53200 series is compatible with Agilent's current generation of universal RF frequency counters (53131A, 53132A, 53181A). An optional GPIB interface is available to meet the compatibility requirements of any legacy system.
