The S1934 is the successor to the FlexScan S1933. It has been improved by adding a DisplayPort input to ensure long-term compatibility with other devices. Power consumption is only 9 watts during typical operation, a 25% reduction compared to the FlexScan S1933. The FlexScan S1934 features an IPS (in-plane switching) LCD panel with a 178° viewing angle, minimizing color and contrast shifts when viewing the screen from the side.
The ambient brightness sensor, called Auto EcoView, adjusts the monitor's brightness according to changes in ambient light. The preset Paper mode lowers the color temperature to reduce blue light emissions, which are a cause of eye strain. A non-glare screen reduces eye strain by dissipating reflected light that would otherwise hinder viewing. Additionally, the bezel surface has been treated to prevent light reflection. The FlexScan S1934 also includes sRGB, DICOM (for viewing medical images), and "Custom" (user-defined settings) preset modes. The user can switch between the different modes using the button located on the front of the frame.
