“Our customers are the true creators of this product,” said David Veneski, director of Fluke Networks’ business unit. “Our customers worldwide have expressed their continued need for a wide range of tools on both ends of the spectrum, but for day-to-day problems, they want a more intermediate solution in terms of problem-solving capabilities for enterprise network technicians. Fiber QuickMap meets that demand.”
Customer response has been overwhelmingly positive. “Fiber QuickMap is easy to use, requires no installation, and provides a comprehensive set of features for efficient and cost-effective troubleshooting,” explained Robert Ried, director of product development for Panduit. “Fiber QuickMap quickly identifies cabling performance issues. We are very impressed with this fast device, which will allow our contractors to minimize on-site troubleshooting time.”
Fiber QuickMap is part of Fluke Networks' product line focused on fiber testing and analysis. "Gartner Group predicts that by 2013, more than 25% of the content that workers will see daily will consist of images, videos, or audio," said Veneski. "This translates into a need for greater bandwidth and increased fiber usage, so Fiber QuickMap and our other enterprise fiber solutions ensure that we strive to raise the bar by providing more accurate troubleshooting tools."
