Machine for marking optical fiber in a ring
The Nextrom OFOM 52i Advanced Coloring System is a reliable solution for fiber optic marking. Its robust mechanical and electrical design, combined with optimized tooling, UV monitoring instrumentation, and larger reel sizes, provides the ability to produce longer lengths of optical fiber with rapid setup.
The latest development with OFC 52/52i focused on the ring marking process and how to achieve higher production speeds. Fiber marking is a method used to identify more than 12 fibers, traditionally based on color.
In the ring marking process, the marks are printed on the fiber with a high-speed inkjet and the marks are dried with a heated airflow before the color is applied to the fiber.
The use of solvent-based ink for ring marking makes the system very cost-effective for the customer. High-quality black marks are printed at equal intervals, and the mark spacing is precise for ramps as well. A wide range of mark patterns can be produced. The machine's high-speed vision system ensures the quality of the ring marking.
In addition to the new color lines, the advantages of an improved ring marking process can be used with older color lines. Nextrom offers a state-of-the-art marking process as an upgrade for all color lines, including non-Nextrom lines, as a standalone unit.
Characteristics:
• High-speed coloring up to 3000 m/min
• • Ring marking up to 1000 m/min
• Coating up to 900 m/min
