designed to meet customer demand for low power, low leakage, high insulation voltage and a higher common mode rejection ratio (CMR).

Avago Technologies' digital optocouplers for wider temperature ranges are increasingly used for a wide variety of isolation applications, from power supply to computing, factory automation, data communication, and digital logic interface circuits.

The new ACPL-M49U/K49U/M71U/M72U digital optocouplers guarantee AC and DC performance across the entire extended temperature range of -40°C to +125°C. The ACPL-M71U/M72U devices are high-speed, low-current digital optocouplers with couplerTM Rand a low power consumption of 1.5mA. The ACPL-M71U uses a high-speed LED to achieve a maximum propagation delay of 35ns, while the ACPL-M72U uses a low-power LED for even lower power consumption. The ACPL-M49U/K49U are low-speed, high-CMR digital optocouplers, both configurable as low-power, low-leakage optocouplers. An internal shield also ensures a low common-mode rejection of 30 kV/µs with a common-mode voltage of 1500V.

The ACPL-M49U, ACPL-M71U, and ACPL-M72U are single-channel optocouplers in 5-lead small output packages (SO5). The ACPL-K49U is a single-channel optocoupler in an 8-lead small output package (SO8).

All new optocouplers comply with industrial safety standards such as IEC/EN/DIN EN 60747-5-5 approved for reinforced insulation UL 1577 and CSA.

The couplerTMRprovides reinforced insulation and reliability to deliver a safe isolation signal in high-temperature industrial applications.
