The new agreement, effective immediately, means that Acal BFi can offer SiTime's MEMS-based silicon timing solutions to its customer base in Europe.
SiTime joins Acal BFi's product line as the world's leading manufacturer of MEMS-based regulation devices. The silicon MEMS technology in SiTime oscillators makes them highly reliable, noise-immune, and resistant to shocks and vibrations—attributes that conventional quartz-based timing components typically lack.
Acal BFi's OEM customers can use SiTime timing products to achieve improved frequency stability and reduced aging, providing tighter accuracy and better long-term performance, offering customers in the automotive, industrial, telecom and communications market a higher-performance and more robust timing solution.
Due to SiTime's miniature MEMS packaging, its products are increasingly being designed for new applications such as wearable devices and IoT that require a combination of: miniature package size, low frequency, and low-power timing source.
