Fluke Networks' LinkWare Live is the industry-leading cable certification project management platform used by professionals who install and maintain today's connected world infrastructure (who have already uploaded more than eight million test results to date).
These contractors, installers, and network maintenance personnel are uploading test results at an ever-increasing rate, while also recognizing and benefiting from the advantages of more efficient workflows thanks to the LinkWare Live platform and integrated products from Fluke Networks' LinkWare Live affiliates such as DYMO, Epson, and Brother, which promise even greater productivity gains.
Brother, DYMO, and Epson join as new LinkWare Live affiliates
. Brother, DYMO, and Epson have joined the Fluke Networks LinkWare Live affiliate program and announced integrated applications with the LinkWare Live cloud-based cable certification service. Partner products make the cable and network labeling process much more efficient by eliminating the time wasted on manual data entry and other tasks. This is achieved by loading the labeler with data generated from LinkWare Live during the network design and installation phases.
DYMO® identification software is integrated with Fluke Networks' LinkWare Live, allowing project managers, cabling technicians, and installers to easily access projects in LinkWare Live, import cable identification data, and use the integrated labeling application and preloaded templates to simplify labeling tasks. With LinkWare Live, installers can print labels directly or transfer labels to a DYMO® XTL labeler for editing and printing in the field.
The Epson Datacom app, when paired with the Epson LABELWORKS PX LW-PX400 printer, streamlines network installation labeling with easy-to-navigate menus, custom or TIA-606-B formats, and patch panel templates from various manufacturers. This app has been updated to work with the Fluke Networks Versiv system and quickly print wire and cable IDs directly from LinkWare Live.
Brother's LabelLink (known as iLink&Label outside the US) is a productivity and quality-enhancing app for cabling installers using Brother Versiv testers and PT-E550W handheld printers. This award-winning app allows contractors to access project wiring ID information in the LinkWare Live cloud using a smartphone or tablet and then transfer it to the labeler via Wi-Fi. LabelLink eliminates the need for duplicate data entry, enabling faster, error-free labeling and easier verification.
Times are changing: A day in the life of today's installers.
“The daily work of installers around the world is changing as they increasingly use LinkWare Live to design, install, and manage cabling projects, with nearly half a million test results already being uploaded each month,” said Eric Conley, vice president and general manager of Fluke Networks. “As more applications are integrated into the LinkWare Live platform, installers will benefit from increasing time savings and efficiency in business operations, leading to cost savings and higher profits.”
Traditionally, before LinkWare Live, installers had to manually enter each cable ID into a labeler on-site—a tedious and time-consuming process. Furthermore, cabling projects range from a few dozen to hundreds of thousands of links, meaning installers sometimes had to enter more than 500,000 labels, and even more if there were faults, typos, or communication issues. This represented a huge waste of time and a significant business challenge that spurred innovation.
Now, companies and developers like Brother, DYMO, and Epson are integrating their products with Fluke Networks' LinkWare Live and the Versiv family of testers, including the DSX-8000 cable analyzer, to help transform the way installers work, making their jobs easier, more productive, and more efficient.
Product information from DYMO, Epson, and Brother :
DYMO : “Label identification is essential for data communications professionals to keep their facilities running efficiently, even though it can be tedious,” said Adam Delange, marketing director at DYMO. “The new partnership between DYMO and Fluke Networks makes the labeling process much simpler. With Fluke Networks, DYMO users can now easily access LinkWare Live projects, import cable identification data, and use the built-in labeling applications and preloaded templates, simplifying the previously complex labeling tasks.”
Epson : “Epson’s LABELWORKS PX LW-PX400 printer works wirelessly in the field via Bluetooth and the Epson Datacom app, making it the perfect solution for LinkWare Live,” said Andrew Kasun, marketing manager for Epson’s LABELWORKS PX. “By working in conjunction with LinkWare Live, the LW-PX400 makes cable identification simple and seamless. Furthermore, the Epson Datacom application is designed for maximum versatility with patch panel templates, self-adhesive laminated cable labels, and heat-shrink tubing, as well as TIA-606-B format, so network installers have everything they need to label their work accurately and efficiently.”
Brother : David Crist, President of Brother Mobile Solutions, noted, “Our long journey working together with Fluke Networks has been a privilege and an incredible learning experience. When our two companies conceived the combined vision of Linkware Live and LabelLink, we had high expectations for the kind of value this solution would bring to the data communications contractor market. A year later, we continue to receive market confirmation that the solution is delivering the kind of efficiency we envisioned.”
