EverTag allows customers in sectors such as healthcare, manufacturing, logistics, construction, and warehousing to track the exact location of assets and efficiently manage their inventory.
Using Panasonic’s PAN1780 Bluetooth 5.3 Low Energy module, the Panasonic Industry Europe team helped CargoBeacon achieve the necessary range, reliability, and global certification for EverTag tags. This enables the acquisition of real-time and historical data streams, crucial for AI-powered asset location analysis. The PAN1780 Bluetooth module was chosen for its high radio performance (8 dBm output power), long-range capabilities, and global certification coverage (the module is pre-certified in major global markets, allowing for rapid time to market). It enables extensive mesh coverage with fewer anchors, simplifying infrastructure and reducing deployment costs.
The collaboration with Panasonic Industry allows CargoBeacon to focus on its strengths: creating smart, scalable solutions that are easy to install and help businesses track and manage their assets. At the same time, they can rely on Panasonic's dependable wireless performance and robust European supply network.

Daniel Lindberg, Chief Operating Officer at CargoBeacon, said: “The collaboration with Panasonic helped us move faster and stay aligned throughout the product development phase. Having a local partner with global reach also facilitated the rapid procurement of necessary components with less impact on transportation.” Lindberg added: “Panasonic’s pre-certification of the PAN1780 in key global markets, including the United States, the European Union, China, Japan, and Korea, allowed us to accelerate time to market by bypassing lengthy certification processes. This gives us the confidence to expand globally without compromising on quality and performance.”
“As demand grows for AI-ready asset data, we see Panasonic as a long-term partner. Together, we will explore deeper integrations, including multi-sensor tags, cutting-edge AI, and energy-efficient communication,” adds Olov Hisved, CEO of CargoBeacon.
“Helping our customers get the best performance from our products is at the heart of our mission. CargoBeacon’s EverTag was the perfect match for our PAN1780 module. We have proven ourselves to be the right partner to deliver reliable wireless connectivity, enabling future-proof technology and collaborating with visionary founders like Olov and Daniel to create impactful, real-world applications,” says Pascal Meier, Director of IoT Devices at Panasonic Industry.
