This agreement will enable Emerald Networks to extend its new transatlantic low-latency submarine cable system, "Emerald Express," from key North American markets through major data centers in the UK and onward to continental Europe. Geo's new fiber infrastructure will allow Emerald Networks to utilize the most innovative optical technologies and provide the most advanced submarine telecommunications system built to date. The Emerald Express system will leverage Geo's position in the UK data center connectivity market to facilitate connectivity to major UK stock exchanges, internet hubs, and colocation data centers, as well as providing critical interconnection points for accessing markets across continental Europe.
