The new stock profile, which follows an extensive review of customer needs and ordering patterns, has led Farnell to double its previous stock of small Hammond envelopes to 1,800. This significant increase allows Farnell to offer the widest possible range of small envelopes for next-day delivery to customers across Europe.

In recent years, there has been an increase in demand for small enclosures, driven by the need for more compact designs and handheld and portable equipment. The Hammond family helps meet this demand through a wide selection of general-purpose and miniature enclosure designs made from plastic, metal, and extruded aluminum. Protection options include RFI shielding and IP54 or IP67 sealing. A selection of PCB mounts, end panels, covers, basic configurations, colors, and finishes ensures there is a Hammond solution for virtually every application need.

“We are working in partnership with Hammond Manufacturing to meet the growing demand for small enclosures, ensuring the fastest possible delivery across the broadest range of product lines,” says Mike Buffham, Farnell’s Product Director and Supplier Manager. “Through this close collaboration and element14’s support of our design engineers, we can improve the buying experience, reduce transaction costs, and help our customers minimize time to market.”.

Rob Hammond, president and CEO of Hammond Manufacturing Company, adds: “We are very pleased to be able to expand the Hammond enclosure range overall with Farnell and are excited about the opportunities this broad range offers designers.”.
