Würth's USB SuperSpeed connectors offer bandwidth of up to 5 Gbit/s and are up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0. The connectors have five additional pins but are compatible with existing USB peripheral cables. They are UL94-V0 approved and use halogen-free, high-temperature resistant housings.

In addition to the new connectors, Farnell stocks many other Würth components, including circuit protection and common-mode filters, to support the integration of USB SuperSpeed connectors into printed circuit boards.

“Würth's USB SuperSpeed connectors address the market demand for higher speeds and bandwidth, driven by the increasing prevalence of faster computer hardware in customer applications,” said Richard Curtin, Head of Semiconductors Passives and Optoelectronics (SEPO) Product & Supplier Management at Farnell Europe. “We are pleased to be able to offer these exciting products exclusively to our customers, along with a full range of additional devices to support the implementation of USB 3.0 in new designs.”
