In the coming months, Indra and Greenrail will study the technical and economic feasibility of developing an innovative, sustainable, and intelligent sleeper model capable of collecting, processing, and sending real-time data on track and train status to railway traffic control centers. Integrating Indra's advanced systems into Greenrail's sustainable sleepers opens the door to new predictive maintenance functionalities, resulting in cost savings in implementation and energy consumption, as well as improved safety, among other advantages.
Among the objectives of the agreement is the joint development of other solutions and products for the railway sector, as well as the implementation of pilot projects for clients and R&D centers. Both companies will evaluate the applicability of Greenrail's technology as a complement to Indra's most advanced solutions for rail transport; they will exchange knowledge and disseminate the results and developments achieved in publications, conventions, and other forums.
