This unique route, which will connect the US with three BRICS countries and Mauritius, will provide the safest and most reliable route between these markets by offering fewer hops through fewer countries than current alternative routes.
Seaborn is the developer, owner and operator of: Seabras-1, the most direct submarine system between New York and São Paulo; ARBR, the only new direct submarine system whose construction is planned between Brazil and Argentina (RFS T4 2018); and SABR, a new submarine system between Cape Town (South Africa) and Seabras-1 (RFS 2019).
IOX, the developer of the IOX cable system ("IOX System"), the first next-generation submarine cable network connecting South Africa, Mauritius, and India (RFS 2019), has begun work on the cable route study, which, once completed, will provide a direct route between South Africa and India via Mauritius. Seaborn's SABR and the IOX System will connect in South Africa.
The Seabras-1 + SABR + IOX System route will only be available through Seaborn and IOX. To take full advantage of this partnership, customers must book the service through Seaborn or IOX.
