In April 2023, UnaBiz released the Sigfox 0G device library code to the IoT development community to build bridges with all communication technologies, including LTE-M Cellular, LoRaWAN®, and satellite players. More recently, the company signed a global agreement with Soracom to include global cellular connectivity service in its offering.

"The first step towards technological convergence is understanding our differences. As a firm believer in an open ecosystem, UnaBiz has worked with various IoT communication technologies over the past seven years, and we understand that each customer should have the freedom to leverage the uniqueness of each LPWAN in order to capture the maximum value from their massive IoT projects," said Henri Bong, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of UnaBiz.

Remi Lorrain, who joined UnaBiz as vice president of convergence in June, stated: "We look forward to contributing to the work of the LoRa Alliance committees to drive massive IoT by adopting LoRaWAN in our IoT connectivity portfolio."

What is LoRa Alliance?

The LoRa Alliance® is an open, non-profit association that has become one of the largest and fastest-growing alliances in the technology sector since its inception in 2015. Its members collaborate closely and share knowledge to develop and promote the LoRaWAN® standard, the de facto global standard for secure, carrier-grade LPWAN IoT connectivity.

LoRaWAN has the technical flexibility to address a wide range of fixed and mobile IoT applications and a robust LoRaWAN certification program to ensure devices function as specified. The LoRaWAN standard has been deployed by over 170 major mobile network operators worldwide, with connectivity available globally.
