This is a long-term agreement that builds on Vertiv's global strengths, with a qualified product and unique service delivery, combined with the speed and flexibility offered by its exceptional research, design, and engineering teams.

The Alliance is part of the Ericsson Radio Site System, which encompasses all the site infrastructure elements necessary to deliver network performance and operational efficiency to the mobile operator. This collaboration enables Ericsson to compete more effectively by expanding its portfolio with greater access to new technologies, strengthening regional sales, and creating a robust ecosystem to support telecom access networks and 5G deployment. Furthermore, the Alliance also allows Ericsson and Vertiv to collaborate more closely on the planning and development of strategic products through synergies in research, design, and time to market.

Through Ericsson's Energy Alliance, Vertiv will offer a wide range of customized OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) electrical systems and supplies, including hybrid solar solutions for off-grid or poorly connected sites. This will be complemented by its global portfolio of products, solutions, and services to meet any regional need.

Nishant Batra, Head of Network Infrastructure for Product Area at Ericsson, says: “Network evolution starts at the location. This is a truly complementary partnership. Ericsson has a long history with Vertiv and knows we can rely on their extensive experience, established portfolio, and global presence. The alliance members combine the best of their radio location technology, capabilities, and skills to create a broader, more flexible, and competitive product line, helping service providers evolve to 5G through the Ericsson Radio System. We continue to bring on board suppliers in additional product categories, with a particular focus on sustainable energy. Service providers want and demand a seamless evolution, and the Ericsson Energy Alliance helps facilitate that.”.

“This alliance reflects our firm commitment to research and development as key to addressing the numerous challenges of this rapidly changing digital world,” said Giordano Albertazzi, President of Vertiv in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. “The collaboration with Ericsson allows both companies to join forces and achieve long-term, profitable growth by making us stronger and more competitive in the market.”.
