The new solution is a response to the demands of service providers and enterprises for efficient 100Gbps data transport over distances of up to 500 km. Fully integrated into the ADVA 3000 FSP, the Metro 100G solution increases the capacity of DWDM networks while reducing costs, footprint, and energy consumption. The foundation of the Metro 100G solution lies in its 4x28G non-coherent technology, which enables high efficiencies in four key areas: cost, physical space, energy, and spectral efficiency, surpassing the spectral efficiency of 10G solutions.
