Deutsche Messe has restructured its event portfolio, as technological advancements within the digital economy have necessitated this reorganization. The impact of digitalization on industry has led exhibitors from the core CEBIT events to focus on other industry events due to their specialization in those sectors. According to Deutsche Messe, a horizontal event no longer meets the specific needs of each sector. Therefore, the Board of Management of Deutsche Messe has announced its decision to cancel CEBIT in Hanover.

All the latest technology related to industry and its digitalization will be showcased at Hannover Messe, the leading international trade fair for the industry. Hannover Messe features a special Digital Factory exhibition, where all industrial software solutions will be presented, and the Integrated Automation, Motions & Drive exhibition, where robotics and autonomous driving, among other technologies, will be presented.
