TAPA requirements are recognized as the international standard for security in transport operations. Theft, along with the resulting loss of goods and supply chain disruptions that lead to decreased productivity, has become a serious problem for the logistics and transport sector.

TAPA focuses on theft prevention through the use of real-time information and innovative prevention measures, and has established minimum standards for the storage and transport of goods, as well as for the parking of transport vehicles.

Alongside the Standards Facility Security Requirements (FSR), which define security obligations for facilities, there are also the Transport Security Requirements (TSR), which focus on truck transport. In addition, the Parking Security Requirements (PSR) establish minimum standards to ensure sufficiently secure parking for road transport vehicles in the EMEA region.
