This year, to mark the publication of the latest Trends Report, the ITU is organizing an interactive online session for journalists and analysts from around the world interested in ICT regulation.

The 13th edition of Trends focuses on the "transnational aspects of regulation in an interconnected society." As networks and services become increasingly "cross-border," ICT policymakers and regulators operate in a global context, where their decisions affect the provision of ICT services in other countries and are, in turn, affected by policies adopted by neighboring countries or even by countries outside their region.

Given that regulators can no longer legislate in isolation, what new frameworks are needed to ensure that all countries benefit equally from the rapid growth of the technology sector?
