The Liebert HPC-M stands out for its specific design, created to optimize cooling control in small and medium-sized data centers. The Liebert cooling system uses R134a refrigerant and has a capacity of between 300 and 800 kW.
Each model is available in a free-cooling configuration, allowing low and medium outside temperatures to cool the water year-round, achieving up to 90 percent energy savings, depending on the outside temperature and the data center's heat load. The Liebert HPC has been designed to provide maximum energy savings and operate in tropical climates up to 52°C.
The Liebert HPC-M is designed to operate with high-temperature incoming water—up to 26°C—and integrate with the Emerson Network Power Smart Aisle architecture. The entire family has been designed using the latest technology and new software, ensuring consistent and measurable energy savings to deliver the highest ESEER and IPLV levels. A new generation of compressors, optimized for part-load operation, new heat exchangers designed for R134a refrigerant, and an innovative electronic expansion valve (EEV) are just some of the advanced technological features incorporated into the new Liebert HPC-M to improve operational efficiency and ensure optimal performance.
Based on the evolution of control algorithms implemented by Emerson Network Power, all Liebert HPC models can continuously control the fan condensers, adapting their speed to operating conditions and maintaining constant power output. Thanks to EC-fan technology, which delivers maximum efficiency from minimum to maximum speed, noise levels are reduced and energy efficiency is increased.
The unit can be equipped with reverse pumps to adjust the water circuit flow rate.
The Liebert HPC-M includes a specific algorithm designed for data center applications, such as Fast Start Ramp, which immediately restarts the cooler as soon as power is restored (for example, from the grid to a genset), ensuring business continuity—a feature not offered by any competing equipment.
