These extremely robust and user-friendly connectors are characterized by minimal cleaning requirements and error-free, repeatable optical transmissions. Furthermore, they withstand thousands of mating cycles and are easy to install and repair on-site to minimize downtime for maintenance.
The connectors use lenses that expand and collimate the light emitted by the optical fiber through a sealed connection interface. The expanded and collimated light beam has a much larger active area than the original optical fiber core, making it less susceptible to data transmission interruptions due to dust and impurities, while also providing more efficient alignment between the two halves of the connector.
The cables are available in 2- and 4-fiber versions for a multi-channel optical interface. The contactless lens interface reduces connector failures by protecting against the ingress of impurities and preventing damage to the optical surface during mating and handling. The version with a stainless steel housing is ideal for highly corrosive environments, and all assemblies meet MIL-DTL-83526/20 and MIL-DTL-83526/21 standards to ensure stable, high-performance communication links and compatibility with other similar products on the market.
