There are two versions of Lumberg Automation connectors, each with specific characteristics tailored to particular applications:
• RSCIS 4D/9 connectors are specially designed to meet the safety and quality requirements of automotive, machine tool, and material handling applications, and will soon also incorporate the UL quality mark.
• BRSCIS 4D/9 connectors have proven their worth in railway applications—compliant with the stringent European DIN EN standards—where vibration and flammability are the primary concerns regarding the reliability of the transport system and the safety of its passengers.
The new connectors incorporate an innovative, patented IDC technology that eliminates the need to strip the insulating wire before connection. This same concept allows the connectors to require very little force, saving both time and effort during assembly.
Another advantage of the connectors is the incorporation of a new left-hand thread between the connector and the IDC body, which allows for fail-safe coupling with other interfaces.
