The 1000Base-T1 standard operates over a single twisted-pair copper cable, supporting an effective data rate of 1 Gbit/s in both directions simultaneously. LEMO offers two types of insulators, the 0B.511 (2 contacts) and the 1B.512 (4 contacts plus shield), compatible with both unshielded twisted pair (UTP) and shielded twisted pair (STP). The new product is available in the B series, and a watertight version, the T series, is also available. The connectors are primarily designed for data transfer in automotive and industrial applications. The goal of SPE Ethernet is to save space and weight through a simpler cable, and it can be used in other markets such as machine technology, robotics, and rail.
