A quick-locking system has been developed to increase the connector's clamping force and thus help resist vibrations. The female connector incorporates rubber grips, and the locking tabs are supplied loose. These tabs are pushed to the back of the female connector when it is attached, expanding the rubber grips to increase the hold on the male connector.
The male and female connector elements have no covered contacts, preventing damage, while the polarized housings offer protection against poor connections. The female crimp contacts are supplied on reels (for high-volume automated production) or loose (for prototypes), and a crimping tool is also available for small-batch production runs. The operating temperature range is -55°C to +125°C, and the service life is 50 connection cycles. These components are suitable for applications in industrial automation and process machinery, industrial drives, robotics, test and monitoring instrumentation, portable test equipment, and industrial automation controls.
