Originally designed as a standard product system based on the mechanical and electrical performance characteristics of the USCAR-2 Class II standard, the Stac64 design has since obtained further patents related to the stackable printhead. Selvan Wilhelm notes: “Through its design development, the Stac64 family distinguishes itself from standard products currently available on the market, and this design has led to a new product specification as well as a new company verification and validation report, entitled the Design Validation Plan Report (DVPR), on a global scale.”.
The Stac64 stackable connection system gives OEMs greater design flexibility to support both low-level signal processing and power applications up to 30 A. It also allows manufacturers to use the headers as standalone components or group multiple headers together to cover a wide range of signals and meet the power requirements of devices and modules.
