By using modern technologies such as OFDMA (Orthogonal Frequency-Division Multiple Access), the access point can communicate with multiple WLAN devices simultaneously. This ensures high efficiency and data transmission speed, as well as reliable real-time transmission even in high-traffic WLAN environments.

In combination with the new Client modules from the WLAN 1000 product family, the system is characterized by a significant performance increase for applications such as automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and autonomous robots (AMRs) used in production and logistics. The Fully Transparent Bridge and VxLAN (Virtual Extensible LAN) enable seamless communication between PROFINET and PROFIsafe, which is crucial in automation networks.

Access security is of vital importance in future-oriented networks. Therefore, the access point was developed from the ground up with security in mind, using a certified process compliant with IEC 62443-4-1, and meets the requirements of IEC 62443-4-2.

"With WLAN 2300, we offer our customers future-proofing, scalability, and industrial robustness for their wireless automation," says Jürgen Weczerek, Product Manager for Network Technology at Phoenix Contact. "Our modules ensure smooth and efficient data transmission, essential for the success of modern industrial processes.".
