The greater flexibility of Industrial HiVision 5.1 allows industrial manufacturers to:
• Configure hundreds of devices simultaneously, even on a live network, saving time and ensuring a consistent network infrastructure. Using Belden's MultiConfig parameters, firewalls can be configured simultaneously, even with different rules, along with all types of wireless solutions, such as those in Hirschmann's BAT wireless family.
• Manage devices from different manufacturers in a single network application for maximum network visibility. Any network equipment can be integrated using the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP), including Belden and Hirschmann routers, switches, racks, and more.
With quick and easy access to a network structure visualization, businesses can more easily configure and manage all components of their network. By viewing the entire system with a constant overview of the network's status, network administrators can quickly locate and resolve any potential problems or outages. This reduces both their own effort and the risks to the system, making it cost-effective.
In addition to enhanced functionality with Industrial HiVision, this new version offers more support and some improvements to its complementary modules:
• HiFusion: Enables the integration of third-party or manufacturer-specific devices into the HiVision Industrial network management software.
• HiMobile: Provides users with convenient access to system information on mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets, from virtually anywhere. The application is available for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone operating systems and allows for remote network monitoring without requiring computer access.
