“The PoE12-3PD is a clear example of our dedication to addressing the real-world challenges our customers face. Many small businesses prepare for expansion, but discover that moving to larger offices can cause connectivity issues,” says Gonzalo Echeverría, Country Manager of Zyxel Iberia. “What we’ve developed is a plug-and-play solution that makes it easy and reliable for SMEs and MSPs to deploy networks in complex environments.”.
While PoE switches can simplify cabling infrastructure, network performance is typically limited by a cable distance of 100 meters. The new PoE12-3PD from Zyxel Networks offers an efficient and cost-effective solution that further extends network coverage, providing seamless connectivity both indoors and outdoors.
The PoE12-3PD is a simple plug-and-play solution that delivers both data and power to the network edge. Capable of providing up to 45W of total power through three PoE+ downlink ports, it allows multiple PoE clients to be connected, such as IP cameras, access control systems, IoT devices, and smart home devices and sensors typically installed outdoors or in hard-to-reach corners of a building.
Once installed, users can monitor network status through Zyxel Networks' Nebula Cloud Platform. This facilitates monitoring the entire network from a single dashboard—accessible via the web and a mobile app—making troubleshooting easy for network administrators and MSPs.
Designed for uninterrupted service, the PoE12-3PD's continuous PoE capability minimizes maintenance downtime and its impact on the network by providing a continuous power supply, even during power cycles and firmware updates.
The robust design of the PoE12-3PD makes it ideal for industrial and outdoor environments. It can withstand temperatures as low as -20°C and remain operational at temperatures up to 50°C. It can be used in both wall and pole mounts and features an IP55-rated enclosure, 6 kV surge protection, and a ground wire. As part of Zyxel Networks' ongoing efforts to reduce waste and its carbon footprint, the PoE12-3PD is shipped in plastic-free packaging.
