splice trayFibreFab has drawn on its deep knowledge of fiber management to add some unique features, which will be of great value to fiber installations.

An external channel allows multidirectional routing of incoming and outgoing fibers while accommodating excess fibers for splicing. In accordance with best practices, a 30 mm bend radius is maintained along the tray.

The design offers a selection of routing options, including a cross-point with cable anchor points to secure the fibers in position during splicing and maintenance operations.

With a capacity to accommodate 24 splices, the Speedway fiber splice tray can replace two traditional cassettes. A hinge system allows multiple trays to be stacked, increasing capacity. The hinge is designed for easy access to the trays without disturbing previously installed fibers.

splice tray 1The unique design, with its perimeter routing, allows for incoming and outgoing cables at any point around the tray, minimizing the need for external cable management. This results in fewer fiber management components when used in wall boxes, patch panels, or enclosures.

According to Dr. Alan Keiser, Director of Engineering at FibreFab: “When installers get their hands on the Speedway tray, they realize they can handle fibers in new ways, with cleaner operation, greater compatibility, and easier maintenance.”
