With a very small size of 158 mm x 165 mm x 45 mm, it is one of the smallest splicing terminal boxes on the market, as it incorporates a splice tray inside, like those that make up the modules for tube management or Single Element, where the splices, mechanical or by fusion, between the fibers of the terminal cable and the SM SC-APC pigtails that connect to the reinforced adapters can be located.

coyote-box-2-wThis design allows differentiation between the inside of the box, the area where the fiber splices will be verified, a task that will initially be carried out by the network deployment departments, and on the other hand the outside area, where the connection of the drop or subscriber cables will be made through the hybrid connectors, without having to open the terminal box, a task that will be carried out by the teams in charge of subscriber registrations.

At the base, next to the reinforced adapters, is a grommet that seals the cable entry, providing a firm grip and sufficient protection against water and dust ingress. Beside the entry point is a screw for securing the cable terminal reinforcement to the base of the box, as shown in the photograph above.
Watertightness is further ensured by the rubber gasket that seals the connection between the base and the cover. The cover is then secured to the base with four screws supplied for this purpose.
Finally, the base of the box has top and bottom holes for screwing the box to a wall, pole, or for mounting it inside the utility cabinet where it can be installed.

The TRILOBITE® Terminal Box pack includes a splice tray, a red splice comb for fusion splices, a mustard-colored splice comb for mechanical splices, 4 reinforced adapters, and a grommet.
