Network providers can freely combine cabling and connect premises in a variety of ways. The SYNO S-500 features eight cable entry points for standard round cables, flat cables, and micro-conduits. Single-fiber splices, ribbon fiber splices, and splitters can be placed side-by-side in the splice holders. This allows technicians to conveniently install, distribute, and manage a large number of fibers in a small space. The cabling can be retrofitted or adapted at any time. The gel seal of the SYNO S-500's outer casing can be resealed.
The R&M SYNO S-500 splice box can accommodate a stack of up to eight ST-500 splice trays. Up to three splice supports can be used on each tray.
The SYNO S-500 is suitable for both aerial and underground cabling. R&M particularly recommends it for regions where FTTH infrastructure needs to be rapidly expanded and prepared for future applications. As an additional service, R&M offers customer-specific pre-termination.
The six stacked trays of the SYNO S-500 can accommodate 432 single-fiber splices or 2,592 ribbon-fiber splices. The higher-density SYNO S-500 HD version offers up to one-third more capacity.
