New Raceway fiber optic system

R&M launches a quick-installation solution for data centers and network operators capable of accommodating up to 2,500 cables.
The Swiss cabling specialist R&M has launched a new cable routing product called the R&M Raceway System.
This system is ideal for routing separate, protected cables in data centers and central distribution facilities of network operators. It can be installed in raised floors or on top of cabinets. The system modules are simply pressed together for connection, requiring no special tools. The range consists of a small number of components, simplifying planning, ordering, storage, and installation. The system essentially comprises trunking, connectors, bends, and outlets, all of which guarantee a 40 mm bend radius to protect the fibers.
The Raceway System is available in six sizes, capable of accommodating between 150 and 2,500 patch or jumper cables. Cable outlets can be installed at any point along the main raceway without interrupting or cutting it, as they simply attach to the sides. With features like these, cable routing can be flexibly adapted to the space requirements of data centers or headquarters, in hubs or co-location points, making it possible to relocate or expand fiber optic cabling without disrupting operations.
The R&M Raceway System is compatible with existing cable routing systems and most common systems on the market from other manufacturers. The modules are made of PC/ABS, a shatter- and impact-resistant plastic. This halogen-free and flame-retardant material is resistant to freezing, heat, light, and electrical discharges.

Guarantees090.2010 It is possible to create large cable runs in buildings and data centers using the extremely durable PC/ABS plastic material from which the R&M Raceway System modules are manufactured. A single main conduit can accommodate up to 2,500 fiber optic cables.
